NASA-Super Earth
19 days on a recently discovered
super Earth equals one year on
our planet
super Earth equals one year on
our planet
In 19 days, you can make it to a year!
No need to adjust your peepers! You read it right! The astronomical feat can be achieved if you can hitch a ride with Groot, Quill and them to a newly found super-Earth!
The NASA folks spotted the super-Earth way, waaayyy out in the far wide reaches of our galaxy! In order to get the gist of how far out the super-Earth is, all folks have to do is look at the distance between the super-Earth’s sun and our home, Earth.
The distance between our lil’ Earth and the super-Earth’s sun is 137 light years which equals 805, 371,675,690,000 8.05 miles. Sooo, yeah, that is 118,211,019,476.00184 times you’ll have to travel around 48 states plus D.C. in order to equal the number of miles our planet is from the super-Earth’s sun!
Pretty cool, huh?!
Yeah, well, what’s not too cool is the aging process.
If you make it to the super-Earth, you’ll reach the age of 1 in 19 days. Whereas on our lil’ planet, you’ll reach the age of 1 in 366 days. And you’ll reach the age of 1 in 366 days whenever there is a leap year like this year. If it’s just a regular ol’ year, then you’ll reach the age of 1 in 365 days.
Therefore, due to the fact that you will reach the age of one quicker on the super-Earth, then that means you’ll also reach the age of 50 faster on the super Earth than you will on our planet.
On the super Earth, it will take you 950 days to get to the age of 50. Whenever a regular year plus a leap year are added together, 950 days on the super Earth is equal to 2 years and 219 days on our planet.
Hence, a person who is living on the super Earth and is 50 years old has an age that is equal to a regular Earthling who is 2 years and 219 days old.
Folks, the point in all of this is that super is cool but not so cool because super makes everything super! Anybody who knows anything about the aging process knows that it’s one thing you don’t want to be super. It is for that reason this lil’ ol’ planet of ours is A OK because it keeps the most important thing not super, the aging process.
